Position: Student and Family Ministries Intern
The student and family ministries intern position is a full time, 12 month long internship working directly with junior high or high school students and their families in the context of church programming and in the local community.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent or currently enrolled in a seminary education program
• Considering full-time vocational ministry
• Experience in ministry leadership
Assist in the planning and execution of weekly programming for students, including midweek youth groups and Sunday morning meetings. Plan and attend special trips and events including summer camp, winter camp and mission trip opportunities. Participate in consistent contact work at local junior high or high schools. Develop and grow relationships with volunteers, students, and parents. Teach and speak at youth events, possibly lead worship, or video and graphic production and design. Attend all required staff and department meetings.
These two positions join a staff of six including an Associate Pastor-Next Generation Ministries, Minister of Student Ministries, Director of Junior High Ministries, and Ministry Assistant. The high school intern reports directly to the Minister of Student Ministries and the junior high intern reports to the Director of Junior High Ministries.
Compensation includes a monthly salary of $1200. Free room and board will be offered by host families from Solana Beach Presbyterian Church. The church may be unable to provide room and board for married applicants.

Position: Childcare Worker - Children's Ministries
Part Time - Non-Exempt (also accept Temporary Part Time or Part Time Interns)
Provides childcare in support of church events. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that there is a safe, nurturing environment, managing all childcare needs, providing age appropriate activities, and interacting positively with children, parents, volunteers and staff.
Skills/Experience: Ability to attend to and care for basic needs of infants, toddlers, and young children (through the 6th grade).
Knowledge of developmental characteristics, milestones, and capabilities of children, as well as the ability to use that knowledge to provide age appropriate experiences (as they relate to play, learning, and behavior).
Must be a team player, have a strong work ethic and professional traits such as dependability, discretion, responsibility, ability to follow directions, etc.
Minimum one year experience preferred, but not required. CPR training and/or ECE units a plus.
Should be flexible with ability to work Friday mornings, and some nights and weekends.
