10:30 am Debin Hall Sunday Worship Service
Our 10:30 am Debin Hall Worship Service is a smaller and more intimite gathering with music that is full of energy and life, and extended gathering and community time. We sing songs led by a band, hear announcements, and have the opportunity to hear live preaching based on Biblical truths.
What time should I get there?
We recommend coming at 10:15 am. This will allow you walk to Debin Hall, be greeted, put on a name tag, check in your child for Sunday classes, and enjoy food and coffee on the patio before the service.
Will I be singled out as a visitor?
When you first arrive on the patio outside the sanctuary, you will see small tables with name tags. You don't have to wear one, but we encourage everyone to use on so you can be greeted by name. There are no special "visitor" tags, so don't worry about being singled out.
What is the service like?
When you enter Debin Hall, you will be warmly greeted and handed a packet that contains news, announcements, worship service outline, message outline, and more. Feel free to sit anywhere you are comfortable.
Here is what you can expect at a typical 10:30 Debin Hall worship service:
- a couple of songs (there will be words on the screens so you may sing along)
- message (hearing from a pastor about Biblibal truths)
- a time to greet those around you
- more songs!
- announcements (you can also take this time to fill out a card to keep in touch with us)
- offering (if you are a visitor, please do not feel obligated to give - you are our guest)
- closing song
Often, we will also have special elements like baptisms, greeting new members, hearing from a guest singer, communion, and more.
Communion is taken on the first Sunday of every month. At this service, we come forward and take a piece of bread and dip it into the juice and eat as we remember Christ's sacrifice. Communion is available to everyone who professes faith in Jesus Christ.
How long is it?
The service lasts about 75 minutes.
What should I wear?
Most people at this service wear casual clothes. You'll find a lot of jeans, shorts, and t-shirts. Feel free to come as you are.
What about my children?
Children and students are welcome to worship with us in the main sanctuary for the entire service, however, if you would like your children to experience our great children's programming, you may sign them in at the top of the main staircase before worship. After you sign them in, they will go to worship with you in Debin Hall for the first 15 minutes of the service. About 15 minutes into the service they will be dismissed to meet their teachers outside Debin Hall where they will be taken to their classrooms.
What if I have questions?
Please feel free to speak to any of our ushers and greeters.
