Our weekly prayer focus highlights the many ministries within our SBPC community and guides our congregation to be united in prayer on their behalf. From preschool to community serve day, college interns to missionary trips, and so much in between. Prayer is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is one of the greatest privileges we have as Christians.
Let us open our hearts to God and pray...
- For ministry leaders and participants to use their God given gifts to serve where they are called and needed
- For each of us to search within our hearts and find that place where God is calling us to serve others as we walk in his footsteps
- For the Holy Spirit to fill us and send us into the world to spread the good news through our actions
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone... 1 Timothy 2:1
