We WORSHIP God in community with authenticity, diversity and passion.
Our primary place of worship is in community. We gather as the people of God as the psalmist says, "I was glad when they said 'let us go up to the house of the Lord.'" We are a worshipping people, gathered to praise God, acknowledge our need for his grace, proclaim his word, and be sent into the world for service. Our worship will be marked by authenticity, diversity, and passion. Authenticity is being real, transparent, vulnerable before God and each other. Diversity is the multiplicity of expressions in the body of Christ--spiritual maturity, experience, language, color, gender, culture, age, and education. Our leadership and styles communicate variety in the body of Christ and the creativity of the God we worship. Passion ins the fire of our worship, the fuel that expresses itself in true enthusiasm, devotion, and commitment.
We CONNECT with each other in Christ-like, welcoming environments.
We live in a lonely, fragmented, and disconnected world. Our busyness keeps us apart. Christ calls us into relationship with himself and each other, and our welcoming environments provide a place many people will experience Christian community--the parking lot, the patio, retreats, and events. Our place of connection is where people experience the Christ-like culture of the church and ware welcomed into a deeper involvement in the life of the church.
We GROW in small groups through transformational relationships, study, and prayer.
We believe God calls us into deeper relationships where we can know each other and live out our covenant community. Our conviction is that transformation takes place in the context of intentional relationships where God’s word, prayer, study, support are experienced and nurtured. Our small groups will become a place for service and impact as groups are called to make a difference within the church family and in the world.
We SERVE with uncommon generosity by giving our time, spiritual gifts, and financial resources.
We understand that every good and perfect gift comes from God, that he has blessed us generously, and that he calls us to serve with a generosity that is beyond ourselves and from God. We give our time with uncommon generosity as we share, pray, care, mentor, support, and listen to each other. We serve with our God-given SHAPE (Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences) in a variety of ministries in the church and in the world. We give our financial resources with uncommon generosity by regularly tithing a portion of our income, enthusiastically responding to ministry needs or gifting enduring gifts beyond our lifetime.
We IMPACT the world by demonstrating the kingdom of God and inviting others to join it.
The focus of our lives individually and corporately is not our own pleasure, but God’s pleasure, and participating in Jesus’ prayer “your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” We have the privilege of demonstrating the kingdom of God next door, across the border and around the globe by loving people and meeting their needs, like Jesus did. We invite others to join us by giving glory to God, sharing God’s story and inviting them into God’s family, like Jesus did.
